Belghar Nature Camp is situated at an altitude of 2555 feet above the sea in the Kandhamal District. Belghar-Daringbadi is the land of “Hills and Waterfalls”. Belghar is 158 km away from district headquarter i.e. Phulbani. It is mainly inhabited by a particular tribe known as “Kutia Kandha”. The tribals believe in age-old traditions of hut dwelling and food gathering. Though they are living in forests for years together yet they are hospitable and friendly. Belghar is surrounded by towering hillocks around. The thick forest is home to several rare endangered species of animals and plants. The pride of the forest of Belghar is the long tusked Elephants that abound plenty in the region. Many other smaller mammal fauna like deer, wild boar, bear etc and varieties of birds via Hill Myna, Parrot, Peacocks, and Flying Giant Squirrels are found which attracts the visitors. The natural vegetation of the forests is wooded trees which rises to a great height. Winter is enjoyable here which can be experienced from November to the end of March. Heavy mist and dew are also prevalent during the winter season. The average rainfall is 1382 mm. The perennial rivers and streams like “Pipili” and “Penaju Nala” are the water source of Belghar. Amongst the hillocks, one large grassland on the top of the hill at “DIMILI” is a must worth viewpoint for the visitors.
Morning arrival at Bhubaneswar Airport/Railway station meets & greets, then proceed for Satakosia Tiger reserve. On the arrival check into your pre-booked Cottage/ Tent Accommodation for overnight stay. Enjoy some local dance & musical events, with a bonfire. Overnight stay at Tent/ cottage after dinner.
After breakfast proceeds for enjoying the beauty of nature of Mahanadi River with taking a boat, Jungle Trekking with our eco guide, beautiful Flora & fauna, Spectacular View Point, You also can enjoy some outdoor games like volleyball, badminton and all at the bank of the river. After enjoying your whole day back to your cottage for overnight stay. (Full day Activities)
After breakfast, drive to Daringbadi. Daringbadi is a Hill station of Odisha & a popular destination for nature lovers for its beauty & virginity. The hill station is full of Pine Jungles, Coffee gardens, rain forests & infinite landscapes. Daringbadi is popularly called ‘Kashmir of Odisha’ situated at a height of 915 meters in Kandhamal Districts. This is the only place in Odisha where you can experience Snowfall in winter. It is also famous for ginger harvesting. On arrival check into hotel for rest, then visit Pine jungle & Coffee garden. Overnight stay at Daringbadi.
After breakfast full day sightseeing tour covering places like Hill View Point, Nature Park, Doluri River, Pine Jungle and Coffee Garden, Lovers Paradise, Putudi Waterfall: ecotourism hub of Orissa. Overnight stay at Daringbadi.
After breakfast visits Baliguda to meet the tribal people known as the Kutia Kandha. Then visit the nearest Dhokra Village: Barkhama to see the Dhokra craft. Then transfer to Belghar Nature Camp. After breakfast go for trekking to the nearby hillock and forest areas, then visit Kotagarh sanctuary. There you can spot wilds like Gaur, sambhar, deer, elephants, peafowl. Overnight stay at Belghar.
After breakfast transfer to Bhubaneswar. Overnight stay at Bhubaneswar.
Morning transfer to Bhubaneswar Airport/ Railway Station for onward journey.
