A true delight for the nature lovers, the state of Odisha offers adventurous Wildlife tours. Renowned for its Wildlife parks and Sanctuaries in India,Odisha wildlife is home to a number of rare flora and fauna species. Having the thickest Mangrove forest and abundant Red Silk Cotton Trees, Wildlife parks at Odisha has proved to be the most successful breeding ground for Asiatic lions. The protected area network of Odisha, spread over a sprawling area of 6611.12 sq. km, the Wildlife in Odisha is cradled very lovingly in eighteen sanctuaries, a National Park and one proposed National Park. These wildlife parks cover about 4.25% of the geographical area and 11.37% of the forest area of the state.
On arrival at Bhubaneswar Airport/Railway station in the early morning, we will pick you up and proceed towards Bhitarkanika. On the way, both sides of the road you will find typical Villages. The scenery is magnificent. It takes 4 hours of driving. Bhitarakanika is an adventurist's paradise and a breeding ground for Olive Ridley turtles. The second-largest mangrove forest of the country, it was declared a sanctuary in 1975, in order to protect the estuarine crocodile and the turtles in their rare mangrove habitat. Other residents of the sanctuary include water monitor lizards and king cobras.
Check-in at the Nature camp at Dangamal. Have your lunch there. Then have a boat ride. (Boating will be in your own expense) A countryside boat that is approved by the Wildlife Department will tour you around offering a panoramic view of the Ramsar area. Later, in the evening, back to Dangamal Nature camp for dinner and overnight stay.
After breakfast check out the camp from Dangamal and move to Gupti to have a boat to transfer to Habalikathi. Then explore the land of crocodiles in their own Mangrove habitat. Full-day boat safari to Mangrove forest enjoys the serpentine creeks, and watch out for birds, particularly different varieties of Kingfisher. Keep looking for estuarine crocodiles basking in the sun. Also, visit Bagagahan Bird Sanctuary, climb to the watchtower, and look for Pelican & different varieties of Storks. To reach Habalikhati Nature camp one must have to walk 2.5 kms from the boating point. This place is very near to Gahrimatha Marine Sanctuary. Overnight at Habalikhati eco tent house after dinner.
After breakfast check out and have a walk of 2.5 kms to reach the boating point. The boat will transfer you up to Gupti. Then have a ride back to Bhubaneswar. On the way back, we will make you visit the Buddhist Monasteries and Stupas in Ratnagiri, Udayagiri, and Lalitgiri. Then drive to towards Bhubaneswar and check in the hotel. Overnight stay at the hotel at Bhubaneswar.
This morning after breakfast check out from the hotel and then have a local visit of Bhubaneswar. NandanKanan Zoo, Khandagiri, Udaygiri, and Tribal Museum. (Monday Closed). Have your lunch in between. Then visit Lingaraj, Rajarani Temple, Mukteswar Temple, Ananta Basudev Temple. Thereafter, you will be dropped at your respective Railway station/Airport to board the train or catch the flight for your onward journey.
