Temples of Odisha (Orissa) gets an special identity in the archaeological map of India which attracts millions of devotees, pilgrimages, architects, scholars, and tourists across the globe. Orissan ancient temple history begins from 6th century AD - Lakhaneswar temple at Bhubaneswar and the art form developed in time being and Finished at 13th century AD - Sun Temple at Konark. But there is lot and a lot of character in the ancient temples which show their mighty back ground history of Orissan prosperous art and architect and the language of stone which defeated the language of human.
Bhubaneswar, meet our representative at the Airport/Railway Station and transfer to the hotel. Afternoon if time desire visit the ancient live temple Parsurameswar (7th century AD). Where one can enjoy the early state of temple architect and iconography of Sapta Matrika, thousand shiva shires, Lakulisa, and many more - Non-Hindus are allowed. Return to the hotel for overnight staying.
Day begins with Mangal arati at Muketwar temple -9th century AD, this is the only temple in Orissa where outside and inside both have carved such as many unique feature, Bidalas, Egyptian art form, story of Pancha Tantra, main goal of life and inside carving such as Astha Matruka, quality of a female and many more. Non-Hindus are allowed. Lingaraj temple (11th century AD) - 55mt height inside compound 32 big and small temple - worth to visit - allow only for Hindu people /Non-Hindu people can visit the temple on the top of the platform. Vaital temple- (8th century AD, Khakaramundi temple) dedicate to the Sakti cult Chamunda. Outside of temple wall excursion the mixing forms of Shiva and Parvati, human sacrifices poll. Non-Hindus are allowed. Rajarani temple - (11th century AD) like Besar style (central Indian temple architecture). Beautiful carving 8 Dikpals and outside beautiful garden by ASI. Overnight: stay in the same hotel at Bhubaneswar.
After breakfast checkout and proceed to visit the Yogini temple (9th century AD) at Hirapur. Excursion the 64 categories of mother cult with a different vehicle and different hairstyles. Non-Hindus are allowed. Yogini temple: was the place of sacrifices and worship of tantrism. Out 4 yogini temple Hirapur is one of them. Then after proceed to Chaurasi (8th century AD). Enjoy the package lunch at Chaurasi and witness the Barahi temple (Khakaramundi temple) there. Then to Konark, upon arrival Konark check-in a decent hotel (run by govt). Evening, enjoy the illumination of famous sun temple from outside.
Excursion the world-famous Konark - Sun temple - 13th century AD (World Heritage Monument-UNESCO). And witness the language of stone. Non-Hindus are allowed. Then after drive to Puri check in a nice hotel on the beach. Afternoon visit the local beach market.
Visit the famous Jagannath temple (12th century AD)- allow only for Hindu people / non hindu people can visit the temple on the top of old library . And the other temple and many more inside and outside of puri temple. Afternoon visit the artisian village through typical countryside road. Then to Hanuman temple at village siruli. Where god Hanuman having with his mother - ANJANA. Free evening for self.
Departure for Bhubaneswar to board the flight/train for onward destination.
