Koilighugar Waterfall

Koilighugar Waterfall is in Jharsuguda district, Odisha, India. The Koilighughar waterfall, around 200 ft in height, is in the Lakhanpur, near the village Kushmelbahal. The waterfall is in rivult named Ahiraj which originated from the Chhuikhanch forest. After the fall there is lakh down the fall and then flow westwards to merge into the Mahanadi River. There is a pathway made along the small stream on which the falls are located on the upstream side. One can walk over it to cross over to the other side. There is a Shiva Lingam known as Maheswarnath Inside the water flowing in this waterfall area. Only in Summertime, when water level decreased, peoples can see the Shiva Linga. Due to that, another shiva linga is placed near to the waterfall, where peoples visit that place can do offerings and puja. There is also an Ashram near to this place.
