On arrival at Bhubaneswar Airport/Railway station, we will pick you up in the morning and drop at the hotel. Check in the hotel and relax for some time. Then start visiting Bhubaneswar Temples famous for beautiful architecture: Lingaraj, Rajarani, Mukteswar Temple. Later visit Odisha State Museum (Closed on Monday) with a lot of Buddhist Sculptors collected from different Buddhist archeological sites of Odisha. Have your lunch in between. Then visit Khandagiri & Udaygiri Jain Caves of 2nd Century B C. Overnight at a hotel.
This morning after breakfast visit Dhauli, The Peace Pagoda, famous for Ashokan Rock Edicts and Place where the battle of Kalinga was Fought which made a great change of Ashok mind so that he became Buddhist. Have your lunch in between. Later visit Pipili applique market and World heritage site Sun Temple of Konark (Watch the Buddhist influence on this temple). Then drive to Puri. Visit Jagannath Temple for Darshan. Then visit the sea beach. Drive back to Bhubaneswar. Overnight at the hotel.
After breakfast a full-day excursion to Lalitgiri (Archeological site of a Buddhist Monastery from 4th to 8th Century AD) with Monastery parts and many votive Stupa, all different Buddhist sculptors with Chaita hall and a huge stupa from where caskets of Buddha’s relic is available. Ratnagiri, the Largest Buddhist monastery we have till know, flourished from 4th to 14th century AD with most of the sculptors of the Vajrayanic sect, hundreds of Votive Stupa & brick Stupa and huge monastery. Later visit Udaygiri, Another huge Buddhist monastery which still under excavation and and Langudi Giri which one of recent excavation with ruins of Monastery, Stupas and lot of Mahayanic sculptors, Five Dhyani Buddhas. Drive back to Bhubaneswar. Overnight at the hotel.
This morning after breakfast check out & drive towards Bhubaneswar Airport/Railway station for onward journey.
